JuliJewel, 23, Moseley

Don'look at me! I'm shy.About me: I'm a bright, bubbly Brummie babe, an aspiring actress from Moseley. I've appeared in a few plays since school, and I'm currently auditioning for more.

I'm keen to do more theatre workshops in schools and community venues. I've also appeared as an elf in Santa's Grotto in the Bull Ring. Thankfully, no pictures survive.

Who I'd like to meet: Like-minded souls, fellow thespians. No pervies, please!

Strap Magazine - 21st Century Tyke-oon

STRAP - Fashion That's Too Cool To Call!

ForesquareNOT CONTENT with reversing the declining fortunes of high street chain Blue Collar, Wolverhampton-based fashionisto Antonio Giallo has added a new string to his already quivering bow: kids' fashion.

The rakish Giallo has recently signed a contract to create a new line of children's clothing for supermarket giant Foresquare. The new “21st Century Tyke” range includes Boys, Girls and Unisex clothes for ages 0-16, and is designed to emphasise fun, friendship and play.

“This line is dedicated to the little tinker in all kids,” Giallo said at last week's press conference: “mischievious, outgoing, and above all, active.

“We hope that 21st Century Tykes will feel good about play, and good about themselves, to boot. Clothes maketh the man, and we hope that this range will open up a whole new world of adventure for kids across the nation.”

21st Century Tykes will go on sale at Foresquare stores later this year.

FLASH: Freak Storm Batters Dudley Castle

BRUMMAGEM MAIL
FREAK STORM BATTERS DUDLEY CASTLE

Weathermen baffled; damage minimal

In scenes reminiscent of The X-Files and Doctor Who, the region's iconic Dudley Castle was last night the victim of a sudden and highly localised storm. The freak weather conditions, which included sleet and strong winds, lasted no more than an hour, but left nearby residents shaken by their ferocity.

Meteorologists were at a loss to explain the storm. Speaking to the Brummagem Mail, Tony Devlin of the Met Office attempted to place blame on a series of low-pressure pockets moving across the region. However, when pressed, Devlin eventually admitted that weathermen had “no bloody idea” where the storm had come from. Global warming was also dismissed as an unlikely culprit.

Damage to the Castle, which dates back to Norman times, is thought to be minimal, but local residents reported minor damage to shopfronts and gardens. Keepers at neighbouring Dudley Zoo spent much of the morning calming their animals, before reopening the attraction in the early afternoon. Head zookeeper Jon Crutchley symbolised the general reaction to the day's events: “First the Dudley Dorito, now this. What's next: little green men?”

The Martian ambassador was unavailable for comment.
