Led Zeppelin reunion

ROCK gods Led Zeppelin last night confirmed they will reform for a tribute gig to Atlantic Records co-founder Ahmet Ertegun, who died last year.

Singer Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones will perform together for the first time in 19 years. They will be joined by Jason Bonham, son of the group’s drummer John, whose death in 1980 spelled the end of one of the greatest bands in rock history.

Its hard to believe that 40 years ago, they were performing to handful of people in the Black Horse, Northfield and now they are Rock Legends!

Robert Plant has said that he won't have his shirt "...quite so open...". We think he should be wearing one of our "Bostin" t-shirts!

The one-off concert, will take place at the O2 arena, in London, on 26 November 2007.

Tickets will cost £125 and be allocated by ballot. Pete Townshend, Bill Wyman and Paolo Nutini will also perform.

To register an interest and a preference for seating or standing room fans should go to www.ahmettribute.com.

The website crashed due to the huge demand before the concert had even been confirmed.

If the one-off gig goes well, the band are expected to announce a tour.

Albuthe Tallyman's dark OMNIBUS- album Review

‘...no longer so lonely’ A Pre Release Review by Bill Rivers 09/08/07

'...no longer so lonely'  by Black Country Performer The Tallyman's Dark Omnibus: (album 2007)

A poetic and technical masterpiece! Milan Kundera crossing paths with Ryuichi Sakamota, the ghost of Mishima whispering over a Morricone soundscape, the chanson of Brel in the streets of an England where Social Workers are corrupt ,children abused, the poor vilified and ignored . This is not an album, but a door to a place where on each visit there is something new to explore, more knowledge, wisdom, beauty and truth to behold. It's landscape is huge and vast, it's characters complex, sad, thoughtful, pathetic, ugly, innocent, deceiving, gentle and desperate. The narrator and its characters entwine, so we are sometimes unsure whose voice we are listening to, perfectly echoing the fragmentation, uncertainty and fragility of our times (loss of identity and place). It's centre however is the Black Country, home of TTDO, and it's message a simple one - Love! Industrial soul anyone?
