Milan Kundera crossing paths with Ryuichi Sakamota, the ghost of Mishima whispering over a Morricone soundscape, the chanson of Brel in the streets of an England where Social Workers are corrupt ,children abused, the poor vilified and ignored . This is not an album, but a door to a place where on each visit there is something new to explore, more knowledge, wisdom, beauty and truth to behold. It's landscape is huge and vast, it's characters complex, sad, thoughtful, pathetic, ugly, innocent, deceiving, gentle and desperate. The narrator and its characters entwine, so we are sometimes unsure whose voice we are listening to, perfectly echoing the fragmentation, uncertainty and fragility of our times (loss of identity and place). It's centre however is the Black Country, home of TTDO, and it's message a simple one - Love! Industrial soul anyone?

Bill Rivers

Hey there metal fans of the midlands!!

hiya! i'm amy. i love metal music, and just thought i'd let y'all know whats goin on in my area of the the my hometown of Wolverhampton (and not so far away Birmingham) as far as good music goes. ^_^

if you know of any not listed, then please let me know!!

so, ok:

Wolverhampton Little Civic:

Dementia - 29th July
Headspeed - 18th August
Galahad + Jump - 14th September
Adrenaline - 22nd September
Speed Theory - 29th September
Panic Cell - 14th October
Wednesday13 - 9th November

Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall:

As I Lay Dying - 7th September
Vans Eastpack Antidote tour (Chimaira, Soilwork, Caliban, Sonic Syndicate) - 1st October
Dimmu Borgir - 2nd October
Paradise Lost - 4th December

Wolverhampton Civic Hall:

Dream Theatre - 10th November

Birmingham NEC:

Heaven and Hell Live - 13th November
Black Crusade (Trivium, Arch Enemy, Machine Head, Dragonforce, Shadows Fall) - 23rd November

Birmingham Carling Academy:

Dillinger Escape Plan + Meshuggah - 5th November
Alexisonfire - 16th November
Thin Lizzy + Queensryche - 27th November
Within Temptation - 28th November

Again, please let me know if you know of any more rockin bands to add to this list!

Also, let me know of any other bands playing in other areas of the midlands too!

Lets Rock The Midlands!!
