Steve Bruce

Apparently Steve Bruce is on the verge of agreeing a 3 year contract with Wigan Athletic.

Where does this leave Birmingham City?

Three of the main Directors have also made it clear they don't want to be there and Carlton Yeung seems to be taking for ever to take over the club.

Sources at various media organisations reckon this could the start of a slippery slide back down the leagues for Birmingham?

Or could this be the start of anew era with new manager, new owner? Only time will tell....

Doncaster Rovers 2-3 Walsall

Walsall came twice from behind to win at Doncaster.

Rovers had a chance to earn a point but James Coppinger missed a last-minute penalty, made even worse when striker Lewis Guy was sent off in injury time.

Goals from Daniel Fox, Mark Bradley and a Tommy Mooney penalty earned Walsall's win.

Three away wins in a row for the Saddlers, now that is bostin!

"Barry for England!"

Having been to see most of the sides in West Midlands over the past few years, that would be the chant i would often here at a Villa game....Barry for England!

Having seen him play in the two games for England against Israel and Russia, i think we can all agree he had two outstanding games and had an influence in most of the goals.

Some people may say that he only got into the side because of injuries to other players, but the England Coach could of played other people in Barry's position.

Simply some Bostin performances from Gareth Barry and lets hope we get to see more of the same in the next England game and also with Villa's next game away to Manchester City.
