During May 2008, i completed the Peru Inca Trail in aid of The British Heart Foundation and have so far raised a little over £4,500.
I found the whole trek one of the most challenging things i've ever done in my life, both physically and mentally and at the same time most rewarding. When i took on the challenge i knew it would be tough, but not as tough as it actually was.
Even with KLM losing my luggage, suffering from altitude sickness, cold shakes and getting an upset stomach i would still recommend the whole experience to anyone who is thinking of doing it. And if you can do it for charity at the same time, all the better!
I know that the memories that i have from those 10 days will be with me forever and never realised that walking up mountains could be so emotional. Truly a Bostin experience!
Over the coming weeks i will be publishing my daily diaries and maybe even add some of the amazing photos i had taken, to share with you and maybe give a little taste of what the experince was like.
Tara-a-bit! with love, Donato Esposito
